About Me
Hi, My name is LaShanna Kimmons and I provide In-Home and Virtual Visits. I have over 18 years experience helping mothers breastfeed. I’m a mother of 4 beautiful children. My interest in lactation came about in 2004 when my 19 year old was born at 26 weeks gestation. That experience of expressing breast milk for my then NICU baby sent me on a path of becoming a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and then an IBCLC. With my experience of breastfeeding a preterm, late preterm and full term babies, I know there can be struggles because I too struggled in the beginning but went on to successfully meet my breastfeeding goals. It will be my honor to help you reach your breastfeeding goal.

Prenatal Consults
(Free if Covered by Insurance)
Allow me to address all of your breastfeeding concerns before your little bundle of joy arrive. All Prenatal Consults are Virtual .
Initial Consults (Free if Covered By Insurance)
When I come to you for in home lactation consulting, I will spend about an hour and a half working with you and your baby. I will perform a comprehensive assessment, including checking for plugged ducts and possible tongue or lip tie, assist you with latch and positioning, counsel you on the normal course of breastfeeding, and provide you with a complete care plan that you can implement at home. If Payment is due at the time of service, I will provide you with a superbill form for insurance reimbursement.

In-Home Follow-up Lactation Consultation
This is a 1-hour follow up visit that includes breast exam and assessment of breastfeeding. Ongoing needs are evaluated and specific problems addressed. Breastfeeding supplies, pumping instructions, and resources are provided as needed. You will receive a call 48 – 72 hours after your visit to answer any questions and/or schedule additional follow-up consultations. In-Home Follow-up Lactation Consultation is $125 if visit isn't covered by insurance.

Follow Up
Visits (Free if Covered by Insurance)
We discuss your progress on the plan established in the Initial Home Visit. Discuss any new or changed goals. Client receives a report at the end of the visit. A detailed report can also be sent to the physicians of mother and baby if needed. Mother receives a follow-up call within 2-3 days to address any further concerns.
Virtual (Free If Covered by Insurance
Schedule a virtual visit to talk about concerns or questions about going back to work & continuing breastfeeding. We will review of your work situation, develop a plan for maintaining lactation while away from your baby, and instruction in how to use a breast pump (if needed).

** Cancellation Policy: I understand that there is a 24hr cancellation policy. I will cancel or reschedule my appointment within 24hrs of my booked appointment or I will be charged the full rate of $230 as a cancellation fee. A credit card is required to be on file during booking. (Convenience Fee and Cancellation/Rescheduling Fees are not covered by Insurance)
